Love one another but make not a bond of love: let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Kahil Gibran

"We hold in our arms the rising generation. They come to this earth with important responsibilities and great spiritual capacities. We cannot be casual in how we prepare them. Our challenge as parents and teachers is not to create a spiritual core in their souls but rather to fan the flame of their spiritual core already aglow with the fire of their premortal faith." So Blessed

As I sit down to write today there are many things I'd like to say but to sum it up... we are "So Blessed." Blessed to finally be in a beautiful home thanks to the time and effort of many loving family members and friends who worked tirelessly to pack, load up and unpack us. We are blessed to be in the second trimester of this pregancy with relatively little health problems for me or the baby. We are blessed with Bobby's job and that we are so close to his work. We are blessed to have the gospel in our lives and that even though we may not always have the means to physically help our family members or friends who are struggling that we have prayer. I am grateful to have witnessed a miracle this week and that my brother has been able to get the help the he needs. I know that the Lord answers our prayers. It is not always in the way that we want or think we need, but it is ALWAYS in the way that we truly need and deserve. It is the way that will help us to achieve our potential both here on Earth in the eternities to come. I am grateful for a family that understands this and works together in faith to help each other in times of trial, no matter what kind of trial it might be (unpacking after a move, having surgery, buying a new car, having a new baby, etc.) We all stick by each other! Both sides of my family do this. The greatest blessing of all is that despite the support we have from this incredible family we have the greatest support of all, our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. No matter how much my sister or brother tries to understand how it is to have epilepsy or how I try to understand the pain of my brothers stomach disorder I will never fully understand...because I have not walked in their shoes. However, the Savior has. He can hold me in His arms. He can whisper just the right words at the right time. He can take away the pain....all if it is for my good. He is the great comforter. For this knowledge I am "So Blessed." I hope that you feel "So Blessed" too! May you also come to know this weekend that your mothers are a part of that "So Blessed" part of your life!

To the outside world, we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other's hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time.

Families are Forever

"When you come to the temple you will love your family with a deeper love than you have ever felt before. The temple is about families... And it doesn't stop there. It extends to parents, brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, forebears, and especially our grandchildren! This is the Spirit of Elijah, which is the spirit of family history work; and when inspired by the Holy Ghost, it prompts the turning of the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers. Because of the priesthood, husbands and wives are sealed together, children are sealed to their parents for eternity so the family is eternal and will not be separated at death." Elder Richard H. Winkel of The Seventy Ensign November 2006
