Love one another but make not a bond of love: let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Kahil Gibran

"We hold in our arms the rising generation. They come to this earth with important responsibilities and great spiritual capacities. We cannot be casual in how we prepare them. Our challenge as parents and teachers is not to create a spiritual core in their souls but rather to fan the flame of their spiritual core already aglow with the fire of their premortal faith." Baby Shaun 32 Weeks

In the quiet of the day I wrap my arms around my swollen belly to caress you my little one. I talk to you and tell you I love you. You little foot kicks my hand to let me know you hear my voice. This simple interaction fills my heart with such joy for you are my son. I love your father with deep passion sometimes it makes my soul hurt. To know that love has come to bring forth your life is beautiful. There have been ups and downs, worries and happiness in this pregnancy but it has all been a miracle. I love every minute you are inside of me. I am excited you are now 4lbs 7 oz's this week. I am getting myself prepared for your delivery with my hypnobirthing classes and Daddy helps me with my relaxation and breathing at night. He sure loves you. He kisses and tells you good morning before he leaves for work. He comes home and pokes you and tries to get you to kick him back. Earlier this week you made it so your bum stuck out at him and made Mommy's belly stick out all lopsided! He sings you to sleep at night and reads you your illustrated scriptures. He tells you he is soooo excited to be able to kiss your chunky cheeks soon, but not to soon (you need to finish baking). Hahaha. We love you baby!

To the outside world, we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other's hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time.

Families are Forever

"When you come to the temple you will love your family with a deeper love than you have ever felt before. The temple is about families... And it doesn't stop there. It extends to parents, brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, forebears, and especially our grandchildren! This is the Spirit of Elijah, which is the spirit of family history work; and when inspired by the Holy Ghost, it prompts the turning of the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers. Because of the priesthood, husbands and wives are sealed together, children are sealed to their parents for eternity so the family is eternal and will not be separated at death." Elder Richard H. Winkel of The Seventy Ensign November 2006
