Love one another but make not a bond of love: let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Kahil Gibran

"We hold in our arms the rising generation. They come to this earth with important responsibilities and great spiritual capacities. We cannot be casual in how we prepare them. Our challenge as parents and teachers is not to create a spiritual core in their souls but rather to fan the flame of their spiritual core already aglow with the fire of their premortal faith." I LOVE Fall

The brisk air of fall seems to put me into somewhat of a memory like state. My mind wonders back to fall leaf drives in years past: the windows down, the sun beating on my skin, the smells of fresh cut hay, harvest, and autumn as we go through the canyon. Then my mind turns to the feelings of new love: when I would stand in the arms of my dearest friend on a late autumn evening and stare up into the heavens as he pointed out the first star of the night. He would have me wish upon it...when I already had my wish coming true just being in his arms. The next flash back is the first time we held hands. Another autumn night. We were in that magical ambiance of the State Fair, with its music and hustle and bustle. Throughout the day our hands had bounced back and forth as we'd walked around the different venues, both of us too afraid to latched them together. Then as I came out of the restroom late in the evening it just happened (he says I held his hand, I SWEAR he held mine!) It was tingly and wonderful. This year, our third year at the state fair we reenacted it. It was amazing to think that now we have a baby on the way. It was still magical to be there with him, loving him more than ever. We even took baby to his first concert, making new memories this fall. He loved the Christian music and wiggled around when they sang about Jesus. I mean he had even chance in the world while they were playing Led Zepplan and the likes, but no, he saved his dancing for his "Jesus" music as his Grandpa calls it. These are just a few reasons why I love fall.....Oh and don't forget I LOVE FALL FOOTBALL....to be continued.

To the outside world, we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other's hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time.

Families are Forever

"When you come to the temple you will love your family with a deeper love than you have ever felt before. The temple is about families... And it doesn't stop there. It extends to parents, brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, forebears, and especially our grandchildren! This is the Spirit of Elijah, which is the spirit of family history work; and when inspired by the Holy Ghost, it prompts the turning of the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers. Because of the priesthood, husbands and wives are sealed together, children are sealed to their parents for eternity so the family is eternal and will not be separated at death." Elder Richard H. Winkel of The Seventy Ensign November 2006
