Love one another but make not a bond of love: let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Kahil Gibran
"We hold in our arms the rising generation. They come to this earth with important responsibilities and great spiritual capacities. We cannot be casual in how we prepare them. Our challenge as parents and teachers is not to create a spiritual core in their souls but rather to fan the flame of their spiritual core already aglow with the fire of their premortal faith." Eternal Truths
This week I had the opportunity to go to the LDS temple with my husband. Being 7 months pregnant I have not been able to go on an endowment session for a few weeks, and was wondering if I'd be up for it on my stakes late session. I prayed all day that I'd be able to have the strength. As we were waiting for our session to begin I watched the different members file in, mostly elderly couples mingled in with a few sisters or brethern who had tag teamed with their spouse to be there while the other one took care of their kids. Then the whole back row started to move with activity. Everyone was moving seats, picking up a chair and folding it, in rolls one of our wheelchair bound sisters named Charlene. I'm new to our ward, and I've never figured out why she's in a wheelchair but I've always had a special sense of spirit with her. She tugs at my heart with her HUGE smile even though she can not talk and her hands are too crippled to wave, she speaks volumes to your heart! As I saw her in white just as all the rest of us I could not think of anyone more that I would want to see in the temple! Christ loves everyone of us! As I pondered Christ's ministry that night and His ability to heal our physical and spiritual imperfections I was overcome by the miracle of the blessings! I am so grateful for the temple that there is eternal life. That one day I will hopefully be able to see Charlene healed and in her resurrected state because of the life that she lives today and because of the covenants and blessings that are in the temple. I am grateful for this experience. I know the gospel of Jesus Christ is true! If you don't know this for yourself but felt something while reading this entry please let me know...I'd love to share more!

To the outside world, we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other's hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time.
Families are Forever
"When you come to the temple you will love your family with a deeper love than you have ever felt before. The temple is about families... And it doesn't stop there. It extends to parents, brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, forebears, and especially our grandchildren! This is the Spirit of Elijah, which is the spirit of family history work; and when inspired by the Holy Ghost, it prompts the turning of the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers. Because of the priesthood, husbands and wives are sealed together, children are sealed to their parents for eternity so the family is eternal and will not be separated at death." Elder Richard H. Winkel of The Seventy Ensign November 2006
